Elvira was born in Ontario, California. She was raised throughout California migrating. She was 1 of 6 children. She had 3 brothers; Frank, Henry and Joe and 2 sisters; Rosie and Hinenueva. She was married to Magdeleno Nunez for 15 years.
Elvira was an outgoing, very sensitive to others and a very loving person. She always worked to stay ahead. Her lifelong best friend and sister-in-law, was Margaret Solorio. She was an agricultural worker for over 60 years. Elvira loved gardening, shopping, and having big parties. She enjoyed cooking and collecting knick knacks and having yard sales. She was a faithful Catholic and Apostolic member. She received 2nd Place prize for a carriage she made and entered into Kings County Fair. She loved day trips to the ocean and San Francisco. She had geese and dogs as her pets. She passed at her home in Hanford, California on December 18, 2012. She fought an illness and was a strong woman until the end.
She is survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and lots of loving friends. She will be missed dearly.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. all at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N.
