Esperanza Delgado Delgado Carrera

Esperanza was born in El Zapotede Sestu, Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico on March 13, 1932 to Faustino Delgado and Tomasa Carrera Delgado. In 1951 she married Juan Frias in Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico. Esperanza enjoyed working to provide for her family, sewing, crocheting and cooking. In February of this year she came to Hanford to be near her family. Esperanza was preceded in death by her husband Juan on February 17, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Enrique Alcantara; her daughter-in-law, Rosa Callente; her two brothers, Claudio Delgado and Jesus Delgado and by her sister, Guadalupe Delgado.

Esperanza is survived by her ten children, Jose Guadalupe Frias and wife, Angelica, Filiberto Frias, Josefina Frias, Maria Socorro Frias and husband, Elpidio Vargas, Teresa Frias Bustamante and husband, Alejandro, Fernando Frias, Rosa Frias, Amador Frias and wife, Martha Pena, Isabel Frias and Jose Santos Frias; her brothers, Socorro Delgado and Roberto Delgado; her sister, Maria Remedios Delgado; 29 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 3 – 6 p.m. with praying of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel , 501 N. Douty St in Hanford, CA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hanford, CA. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Hanford, CA.
