Frances Low Ying

Frances was born in San Francisco, California on August 22, 1923 to Harry and Jong Low. She was raised and educated in San Francisco, attending Francisco Junior High and graduating from Commerce High School in 1940. Frances married Foster K. Ying in San Francisco on June 8, 1947. In 1951, Foster and Frances moved to Hanford to make their home. They worked together at Ying’s Food Center for many years. Frances enjoyed times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the bowling alley to socialize with her many friends. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Jong and by her sister, Daisy on July 11, 1989. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Frances is survived by her loving husband, Foster of Hanford, CA; her children, Chris Ying of Hanford, CA, Diana Ying of Hanford, CA and Robert Ying and wife, Susan of Fresno, CA; three brothers, Lonnie Low and wife, Katie of Bakersfield, CA, Johnny Low and wife, Karen of San Mateo, CA and George Low and wife, Annie of Santa Clara, CA; two sisters, Mary Kong and husband, Yun and Dot Lee and husband, Yook, all of San Francisco, CA; four grandchildren, Jacquelyn Ying, Jodi Ying, Brian Ying and Bobby Ying; sister-in-law, Grace Ying of Canton, Michigan; brothers-in-law, Dr. Lloyd Ying and wife, Joan of Canton, Michigan and Dr. Eugene Ying and wife, Janet of Selma, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 5 – 8 p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty St., Hanford, CA. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty St., Hanford, CA. Burial will be private.
