Sunrise: 6/27/1937 - Sunset: June 3, 2010
Frank was born to Francisco and Margarita Cordero (Jacobo) on June 27, 1937. He was born and raised in Kings County. Frank graduated from Hanford High School in 1956. Immediately upon graduation, Frank entered the National Guard and proudly served his county until 1966. He then pursued a fulfilling career in the automotive industry. A man, who firmly believes in “hard work”, started in the detail department at the local Ford dealership. Throughout his 47 years, he went from a wash boy, to a valued service technician and eventually tow truck operator. He officially retired five years ago, but continued to work part time until jus three months ago.
His greatest passion in life had always been his family. Family always came first. Frank always looked forward to holidays, family outings and was eagerly expecting the upcoming camping trip for his birthday with all of his children, grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Painfully this trip will not take place this weekend.
Frank has endured much pain in his life, yet remained strong to be the backbone of his precious family. He has endured the loss of his eldest child, Rita Orosco of Corcoran; first grandson, Adrian Orosco (in Iraq) and Marie Lopez, the love of his life and our mother as well as his second wife, Josephine.
An irreplaceable father, Frank will be forever missed by his family. He leaves behind to cherish his everlasting memory, five children, (listed oldest to youngest) Rosemarie T. Tamayo, Sally A. Minke, Frank A. Cordero, Gregory H. Cordero and Sonia V. Cordero, all of Hanford, CA; grandchildren, Anthony Cordero of Hanford, Noe Orosco of Corcoran, Nikki Nowakowski of Denver, CO, Leanna Tamayo, Rosenda Raya, Justin Tamayo, Gregory Cordero, Marlana Cordero, Nathan Tamayo, Randall Minke, Kevan Cordero, Chris Cordero, Danielle Cordero, Maggie Cordero, Mason Cordero, Destiny Cordero and Kimani Kennedy, all of Hanford, CA and seventeen great grandchildren.
