Frankie was the first born of six children to Frank Jr., and Arlene Marie Pereira on June 3, 1953, in Hanford CA. Frankie grew up in Hanford attending local schools and graduating from Hanford High School in 1971. At age 15 Frankie learned to install all types of flooring eventually starting his own business, Pereira’s Flooring Covering, in 1985. This would be his life long career.
In 1984 Frankie married Donna Douglas, they shared 34 years before Donna’s passing in 2018. Together they raised Frankie’s children, Jared and Shanda Rose, ran Pereira’s Floor Covering, golfed, fished in the Gulf of Mexico, traveled throughout the US, Mexico, and the Azores.
Frankie had a smile that lit up his face and was genuine in his eyes. Always ready with a hearty hug or handshake he never met a stranger. At any gathering it was guaranteed that if you lost track of Frankie you could soon find him engaged in conversation with someone be it customer, family or friend, call them what you will, they were all the same to him. He had a huge heart and genuine soul always ready to help anyone who needed it, whether they knew it or not.
Frankie was a proud member of the Hanford Cabrillo Club #9, where you could find him at the annual Bunco tournaments and fundraisers. The Luso-American Lodge and the Hanford Elks Lodge #1259 where you could find him donating his skills and materials to update the Lodge, enjoying himself at Steak Night or attending fundraisers. He donated his time and talents to all of these organizations.
