Freda Mae Scrivner

Freda Mae Scrivner, 88 years old, was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas on November 30th, 1931 to Edward & Pearlene Schieler. The Lord took her home on November 1st, 2020.

Freda was married to N.B Scrivner in 1949 and had her first two children while residing in Porterville Ca. The family moved to Coalinga Ca. in 1951 and expanding their family to include three more children. Freda was dedicated to raising her family for twenty-three years before her divorce. She moved to Fresno Ca. in 1972 where she resided for her remaining years. She started her own housecleaning business, which she called “Lucky Break” and had the love and respect of many homeowners throughout the years before retiring. She loved the old classic movies, music, and spending time with her family.

Freda is survived by her daughters, Sheila DesLaurier, Brenda Young, Tami Turnipseed; her son Randy Scrivner & his wife, Arlyse; sisters Joetta Hughes, and Shirley Aschenbrenner; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many other extended family members including her very dear friend, Sonny Vaughn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Pearlene Schieler, her daughter, Vicki Scrivner, sister Neda & brother-in law Keith Wilson, sister Noma & brother-in-law Norman Wilson, sister Polly Allensworth, brother Jerry Schieler, sister Diane Schieler, brother-in-law Dennis Aschenbrenner, and brother-in-law George Hughes.

A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, in Coalinga Ca. on November 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM.

Freda was a beautiful woman. Mother to one of my best friends Sheila Scrivner. So sorry to hear of her passing.I’ve been out of town for a few weeks and didn’t know she was gone. May God give her family the peace that passes all understanding. God Bless everyone of her family. Sheila if you see this, I love you, miss you!!! ✝️ Rita S
