Garland Gary Richard England

Gary was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 8, 1946 to Joseph and Gertrude England. His parents moved to Hanford, California when he was a young man where he was raised and educated. Gary married Blanche Rivas on February 1, 1974 in Sinton, Texas. Gary worked for Valley Ford as a Used Car Manager for many years and worked for Rainsoft as Finance Manager for ten years. As a young man Gary enjoyed fishing and later enjoyed a game of golf, and watching sports. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was known for doing things his way and nothing was ever done by the book. Gary will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Joseph and Jeffrey and one grandson Troy Stryd.

Gary leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of forty years, Blanche; four children Barbara Bennett and husband, Jeff, Brenda Stryd and husband, Stephen, Joseph England and wife, Argelia, and

Gary England II, all of Hanford; five sisters, Barbara Hayes of Selma, CA, Nancy Coon of Hanford, Helen Gilbert of Hanford, Pam Washington of Exeter, CA and Tami Jennings of Clovis, CA; his grandchildren – Stephanie, Lauren, Jonathan, Aaron, Briana, Tyler, Jeremy, Alisa, Stephen, Jessica, Samantha, Anthony, Emilio, Derrek, Jaime, Jazmine, Courtney, Ellyjah, Calista, Natasha and Ciara, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 4 - 8 p.m. at People's Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty Street in Hanford, California. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10 a.m at Hanford Cemetery, 10500 10th Avenue in Hanford, California.
