Gary Cantrell, son of John Gary Cantrell and Judy Amsbary was born in North Bend, Oregon and passed away at the age of 59. He was the oldest brother to sister Tammy Tumbaga and younger brother Martin Cantrell, as well as half brother to Mesha Padgett and Megan Howard.
As a child, Gary loved to be in nature especially the ocean, and loved to hunt with his Uncle Jerry Cantrell and beloved dog Buck. He was no stranger to mischief, but always cared about those around him.
Gary enlisted into the Navy in 1984, serving 2 world tours before retiring in 2001. His time in the military brought many once in a adventures and friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Gary leaves behind his wife of 33 years Sharon Cantrell, and two daughters Leana and Heather Cantrell. He was a very loving and devoted husband and father, a true protector and provider.
Gary was the type of person that could make a friend wherever he went, and could never be in public without running into someone he knew. He was a man of Christ. He took great joy in volunteering with his church, the First Southern Baptist Church of Hanford, and loved spending time in fellowship there with his church family, and at the Kings Gun Center with his best friend Jesse Lund.
Gary was a very special person to so many, and will be truly missed.
