April 26, 1953 – February 28, 2013
George William Taylor, Jr. 59, fondly remembered as "Brother" by his siblings, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, February 28, 2013. He was predeceased by his father George W. Taylor, Sr., his sisters Kathy and Sharon and his beloved infant daughter Jessica. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his sons Maciel and Jasen and his daughter Michele, his grandchildren: James, Dominiq, Amaya, and Marcerino and, his daughter-in-law Kathy. He is survived by his mother Mabel, and his sisters Annie and Mary, and his brother James, also numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 15th at 11 :00 am at the First Christian Church, located at 505 W. Cameron Street, Hanford, CA. Born to George and Mabel Taylor on April 26, 1953, George grew up in Hanford, CA. He graduated from Hanford High School in 1971. After high school he enlisted into the United States Air Force, he was a firefighter for Fairfield City, LNAS Crash Fire, and for Kings County Fire Departments. He also enlisted in the California National Guard and was awarded the Medal of Valor for Bravery. As a young man he sang and music just grew into a passion for him, and it never dissipated. He performed in many bands all over California a performance which left no doubt that the listeners were in the presence of a singing artist. A voice that was filled with such power. Also, known as "Boz" Taylor in the musical community. He could talk to anybody about anything. He enjoyed himself in any number of situations. And, from the hearts of his children "Until we meet again, rest in peace daddy."

I've known George's sister, Annie, since we were kids at Lincoln Elementary and remember George even then. Over the years, I was fortunate to hear George sing at various venues. What a talent and what a great day in Paradise it is now that he's singing for the Lord. To all of the family: "The Lord will never give you more than you can bear". God bless you all.
