

Gerald Michael Stiglianese, “Gerry”, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Hanford, CA at the age of 67 surrounded by his family. Gerry was born on May 21, 1947 in the Bronx, New York to Patrick Stiglianese and Dorothy Kane of the Bronx, New York. Growing up in the Bronx, Gerry spent many hours as a boy playing “stickball” and became an excellent baseball player and avid New York Yankees fan, of which he has passed down to his children and grandchildren.
Gerry bravely served our country during the Vietnam War from 1966 through 1970. Upon release from military service, Gerry met, courted, and married his sweetheart, Kathy Mae Kinser on November 10, 1979.
After his military service, Gerry began a long and impressive career with the U.S. Postal Service. He recently described to his grandchildren that becoming Postmaster of Corcoran Post Office as one of the proudest moments of his life. Gerry was also known to family and friends as one of the most talented local musicians, an accomplished and extremely talented drummer and singer. Playing music with bandmates, friends and family was Gerry’s passion.
Gerry was a loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife Kathy Mae Kinser Stiglianese and their two children: son Travis Stiglianese and daughter Leah Stiglianese of Hanford, California. Gerry is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Amber Stiglianese, and his three beloved young grandchildren: grandson, Curtis Loughridge and granddaughters Korryn Kennedy and Quinn Stiglianese. Gerry is also survived by his brothers, Larry Stiglianese, James Kinser, Neal Kinser, Michael Strong, and Ken Embree. Surviving Sisters; Anita Kinser, Kimberly Strong, Theresa Kinser, Bobby Kinser, Sandra Kinser and Denise Kinser.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 am at Kings Christian Fellowship, 1461 North 10th Avenue, Hanford, California 93230 (559) 582-4705.
