Glenn Calvin Myers, 92, of Hanford, passed away on May 29 at his ranch home surrounded by his children and loved ones. Glenn was born to Robert and Flossie Myers on February 16, 1933 in Caruthers, Ca. He was a co-owner and founder of Myers Brothers Well Drilling Inc. where he was not only a well driller, but a farmer as well. Glenn shared the business with his 3 brothers -- Roy, Richard and Fred Myers. The business has been in operation for over 67 years.
After High School, Glenn and his brother Roy enlisted in the United States Air Force serving together during the Korean War in Morocco, North Africa as aircraft mechanics. After returning home, Glenn married Inez B. Lohse. They had 3 children together -- Sandra (Sandy), Stanley (Stan) and Cheryl.
While raising his children in Hanford, Glenn was involved in many business adventures including the Well Drilling, Myers Brothers Farming, Venida Packing, Snake River Vineyards, MVM Farms, and Lazy Man Lodge in Montana. He also served as a Board Member for the Kingsburg Federal Land Bank for over 25 years, and was a member of the Kings County Sheriff's Posse.
Glenn was an avid hunter and fisherman where he traveled all over the United States, Mexico, and New Zealand to enjoy his hobby. He enjoyed hunting in Montana so much that he purchased a home there where he spent a good deal of his time.
Glenn had the biggest heart. He was the kind of person that knew no strangers -- everyone was welcome. He had the best stories from his adventures and was ever so willing to share them to anyone that would listen.
He is survived by his partner Kathleen Crookham from Merced; sister Joyce Hogan (Pat) of Visalia; his daughter Sandy Pardieu (Jim and grandchildren Heather and Heath Pardieu); his son Stan Myers (Tracy and grandchildren Kelsey Wiedenhoefer and Garrett Myers with wife Gabrielle and great grandchildren Fletcher and Dolly); and his daughter Cheryl Huffman (children Calvin, Ryan and Ethan Huffman with wife Chloe).
Family and close friends are invited to attend Graveside Services to be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 10:00 am at Oak Grove Cemetery (19811 Cedar Ave, Laton, Ca 93242).
