People’s Funeral Chapel

Hellen Haley, age 84, passed away from her earthly home into her heavenly home on May 19, 2023. She was surrounded by her family.

Daughter of James (Chub) and Sylvia Kirklin, Hellen was born in Hanford and raised in Armona where she met her husband of 64 yrs George W. Haley. Together they had two children, Shelley Ritchie and Connie Flores.

Hellen worked at Catalina Swimwear Company, Armona Elementary School and Hanford Walmart for 20+ years. Just to mention a few of her occupations.

She was a member of Living Waters Fellowship Church for 20 yrs. Hellen enjoyed participating in community outreaches and serving the community. She participated in children's church and monthly potlucks. Hellen loved the Lord with all of her heart.

One of Hellen's favorite things to do was to go to the coast to eat clam chowder and fish and chips. She really enjoyed the ocean. Hellen liked getting together with her sister in laws and play bingo.

Hellen is survived by her husband George W. Haley and daughters Shelley Ritchie (Stephen), Connie Flores (Robert), Grandchildren Samantha Raeber (Kiel), Andrew Ritchie, Jamar Hugie, and Jonathan Hernandez (Theresa).

Great Grandchildren Hunter Raeber, Colten Raeber, Cianna Hugie, Jamar Hugie Jr, Jade Hill, Sativa Hill, Chase Lindsey and Kayden Wells. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Hellen is preceded in death by her Father James (Chub)Kirklin, Mother Sylvia Kirklin and brothers James Kirklin, Jerry Kirklin and Dean Kirklin. Grandson Erik Michael Towey.

The family would like to acknowledge Stanford University Hospital, Hanford Adventist ICU and American Care Hospice for the outstanding Doctors and nurses that were involved in Hellen's care.

Many thanks to all that sent food, flowers and cards. A private celebration of life was held with Hellen's family.
