Inez F. Gutierrez

Inez F. Gutierrez, 86 passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Hanford, California. Inez was born to Luis & Belen (Rodriguez) Fernandez on April 15, 1928 in Brawley, California. Inez spent almost her entire life in Hanford, California. She was raised with 9 siblings; Ruth, Helen, Bridget, Emily, Evelyn, Mary Lou, Netti, Gloria and Felix.

Inez loved spending time with her family and she especially enjoyed hosting church services in her home to share in ministry and have fellowship. Some of Inez’s life passions were gardening, collecting antiques and taking part in baseball with her children. As a child she took pleasure in working with her father. She completed 8th grade at which time she went to work for the family. She was always very close to her sisters; they weren’t only her sisters but her best friends too!

Inez and her first husband shared their joy in having 5 children; Elsa, Sylvia, Laura, Esmeralda and Lucy. Later in life she then married Ysidro Gutierrez October 2004, who has preceded her in death. Her five children blessed her with 9 grandchildren; Amanda, Rebecca, Josephine, John, Cassie, Phoenix, Christina, Susana and Antonio and 9 great-grandchildren which has filled her life of joy, love and happiness. Inez spent most of her life as a devoted homemaker and caretaker to all around her. She truly cherished the opportunity to care for those around her.

Inez took part in participating in the community of Home Garden. She proudly served God with hosting bible studies and services in her home, she was a Christian woman. Some places she enjoyed vacationing was her trips with her husband to Morro Bay. Inez had a special companion, her dog “Cookie” who adored her. She was always fond of animals; a few in her life were; dogs “JJ” & “Champolina” and a turtle named “Jessica”.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service immediately following at 9:00 a.m. all at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591 with Burial following at Calvary Cemetery; 11680 S. 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230.
