He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Wright, his two children John (Candy) and Joann (Ken), his older sister Barbara and his nieces, and his grandchildren Matthew and Jessica.
He passed to God’s hands in a deep and dreamless sleep as his wife, daughter, son and trusted nurse held him lovingly.
Jim was born on August 29, 1942 in Long Beach, CA. He worked for the JCPenney Company for 42 years. Jim and Jean came to Hanford in 1993 where Jim was assigned to open and manage the new JCPenney store at the Hanford Mall. He retired from JCPenny’s in 1998, and then went on to work for Sears for another 10 years. During his lifetime Jim was an active member of the Lutheran Church and has had a fervent faith and centered his life around service to our Lord. He has served at Messiah Lutheran Church in Yorba Linda on church council and at St. James Lutheran in Hanford.
Services will be held at St. James Lutheran Church in Hanford, on July 7th at 11am.
