48 years old
Born in Tijuana, Mexico on March 28th, 1970
Passed away in San Francisco on September 16, 2018
Javier wouldn't want to be remembered for jobs he had during his lifetime. He would want to be remembered for the kindness he showed everyone he met. He was always ready to help anyone. Be it helping friends pour concrete, drill a well or move; or giving a lift to the train station and buying a ticket to Bakersfield for an older gentleman who was hitchhiking to get back home.
Javier didn't start out as a believer in God but found his way to Him several years ago. He loved to discuss his faith with anyone and was able to pass the good news of salvation without seeming judgmental. Javier loved to fish and travel. His dream was to hike the entire Appalachian Trail when he retired. God decided he needed to go on a different journey.
Javier is survived by his wife Shawna Hamilton, his daughters Serina Ravenbell and Sara Bailon. His parents Antonio and Maria Bailon. And his siblings Manuel Bailon, Asuncion Bailon, Maria Sewell, and Daniel Bailon. He is also survived by many more family and friends.
I want to thank the nurses at UCSF in San Francisco for the care and support they gave my husband and his family. They were always willing to listen and were genuinely interested in hearing about his life and his faith. I want to thank Shan Hamner and all of Javier's coworkers for all of their support during one of the hardest times my family has had to go through. I want to thank my best friend Debbie Watts-Ward for coming to me in my greatest time of need. I will never forget it. I would like to thank my brother Eddie Hamilton and his whole family for driving me to the hospital and all of the other support that they continue to give my family. And I would like to thank everyone else...too many to mention for their continued support to myself and my family. I will never be able to say thank you enough or repay you for the kindness you have shown us.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends.
