Jesse Kenneth Wallar Jr., 65, of Hanford entered into rest on Saturday February 11th, 2017 in Hanford, California. Known to most as Ken, Ken was born in Sulphur, Oklahoma on February 19th, 1951 to Jesse and Era Wallar. He was raised in Hanford, California, before joining the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War, earning several prestigious medals and recognitions. Upon completion of his tours to Vietnam, Ken joyfully raised a family full of boys whom he adored more than anything – James Wallar, Jesse Kenneth Wallar III, and Robert Wallar - throughout Central and Northern California. Ken would spend most of his professional life working with his hands, including creating and designing custom wood work in Northern California. Passionate about his country and war history, Ken spent much of his retirement surrounding himself with war artifacts, books, documentaries, and documents. Ken is survived by two children, Jesse Kenneth Wallar III and Robert Wallar, his mother Era Jones, his two sisters Cathy Wallar and Kay Wallar, and his beloved Dachshund dog, Reno.
