Joan Ann Wisniewski

On November 10, 2016 it is with great sadness Joan Ann Wisniewski, 75 (Mom, Grandma, Joanie, Miracle) left her pain filled body to enter the heavens above after an ongoing illness. She was born on in Utica, NY on November 14, 1940 to Charlie and Mary Packard. She met her husband Richard Wisniewski while he served on the Griffis Air Force Base in Rome, NY. They moved to Rochester, NY where she was employed as a School Bus Driver at Greece Central Bus where she enjoyed many special friendships. In June 1993 she lost her husband Richard to cancer and after moving to Florida. After a brief decline in health Joanie moved to California. Joanie took great pride helping others overcome some personal issues after achieving so many herself. She enjoyed spending her time reading and doing puzzles daily.

Joan leaves behind her cherished children; Charles Wisniewski (Rochester, NY), Richard Wisniewski (Sylvan Beach, NY) and Mary Quilty (Hanford, CA). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren; Heidi, Aaron, Grace, Rebeca, Faith, Cory, Susan and Lucy & many great-grandchildren. Her closest friend, Baby, her dog, will also greatly miss her company.

A Graveside Service will take place on Friday, May 5th at 1:00 p.m. at Falls Cemetery; 1941 W. Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14626 (585) 587-3836, where she will rest buried next to her husband, Richard.
