Joe Lee Ward

He moved to California around 1957, with his parents for a better opportunity in life. He attended Lakeside Elementary and later graduated from Hanford High School. He learned many trades while he was in school that would assist in providing a better life.

Joe met the love of his life Linda May Scott. He was joined in Holy Matrimony on February 4 1976. He was Blessed with one son Joseph Ward Jr.

Joe has two grandchildren, one grandson Joseph Lee Ward III and one grand daughter Bella Ward.

Joe worked at Windgo Mills Cotton Gin, Contadina Foods Incorporated and Snow Commodities Company for several years. He moved to Stockton, CA and Lake Charles Louisiana for a short time while exploring some new endeavors. He spent the remainder of his retirement years in Hanford CA.

Joe leaves behind his loving son Joseph Ward Jr, daughter in law Rhea Rhea, Beautiful Grand daughter Bella Ward, Stockton CA. One handsome grandson Bakersfield, CA.

Joe leaves to cherish his memories one brother , Oscar Mcclain (Lake Charles, LA). He also leaves five sisters, (Gloria Bradley (Hanford, CA), Savannah Ryans (Lake Charles, LA), Earlene Carson (Hanford, CA), Janette Mcclain (Hanford, CA), Essie Moore (Modesto, CA). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, James and Daisy Moore. His wife Linda May Ward and his Brother Jimmy Moore.

Joe was very family oriented, he spent countless hours with his family. He loved family gatherings and always suggested the next one. His hobbies consisted of roller skating, swimming and handyman. He was a mechanic who loved working on cars and he was always working around house and fixing appliances. He enjoyed watching soap operas, movies and sporting events.He would love to play spades, dominoes, tetris and other board games.

Joe is truly loved and will be greatly missed.
