

Judith was born to Edmund Paul & Janice Olive Badrick Coffey on February 8, 1932 in Glendale, California. Judith went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 18, 2012 in Hanford, California. Judith was born at Glendale Research Hospital. She was raised in Glendale and then in Burbank, California on Olive Street, later moving to Ventura, California. Judith was the oldest of her three siblings; Carol then her two younger brothers; Tony and Mike. As a child Judith attended Robert Bellarmine Jefferson Parochial School and Ralph Waldo Emerson Public School during World War II, 1941—1942.
While Judith was in high school she was very involved in working on putting on her schools prom. She was an important part in producing the play “Carmen”. She also really enjoyed helping design her schools yearbook and school sweaters. As an avid artist she was passionate about sketching clothing designs and charcoal sketches of people. Judith graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in Tujunga, California in 1950. Judith went on to attend Ventura Junior College and then later in life Judith became a Certified Public Secretary in 1986. Judith retired from General Felt Industries in Downey, California in 1993. Judith has always loved to draw, paint, write poetry and enjoyed music. In life Judith was a Cub Scout Den Mother and she also was a member of the Elks Lodge and the YMCA and the League of Women Voters. After retirement, she was especially active in the Elks Lodge and YMCA Kid care. She became a Notary Public and also studied Naturopathy, using later while working in a health food store as a clerk for several years.
Judith married her husband, Emery James Hatch in 1951 in Reno, Nevada. Judith and Emery had three beautiful children; James Eugene Hatch, Edward Warren Hatch (Joy) and Marie Ellen Wilder (Mark). Later in 1992 Judith married Jack Morehouse in Harmony, California. Judith was blessed with eight precious grandchildren; Caleb Hatch, Alena Hatch, Kristin Harvey (Ken), Erin Macy (John), Katie (Corrie) Elmes, Patrick Jason “P.J.” (Katey) Wilder, Emily Hatch and David Wilder. She also had eight very special great-grandchildren; Zachary Harvey, Tyler Harvey, Samantha Harvey, Kylan Elmes, Cody Elmes, Sage Macy, Oliver Ethan Wilder and Madelyn Penelope Wilder.
Judith is survived by her loving children; James Hatch, Edward (Joy) Hatch and Marie (Mark) Wilder. She also is survived by her eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Judith is also survived by her dear sister; Carol Coffey and her brothers; Tony Coffey and Mike Coffey. Judith touched many hearts that will all miss her tender heart and free spirit!
