Judith Ann Grimes Paine "Lady Bug"

Judy was born to Frank & Joan Jeanette (French) Grimes on June 5, 1941 at Dane County Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Adventist Medical Center in Hanford, California with her family at her side.

Judith was raised in Madison, Wisconsin with her one sister; Barbara. Judith was very close to her longtime friends; Donna Bassett, Delores Braz and Nancy Prichard. Judy has been a long time resident of Hanford, California. She spent most of her life as a Homemaker. Judith was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Her family and friends meant everything to her – it’s what she lived for. When she wasn’t caring for those she loved, you might have found her doing crafts, playing bingo or slots on her Kindle Fire, or even bowling on the Wii… She also enjoyed watching baseball. She also shared an appreciation for her community by serving and giving back to Hanford! Judith served on the board of directors for the Hanford Senior Center. When Judith could get a chance to travel, she would take trips to Laughlin, Nevada.

“Lady Bug”, as many new her, will be truly missed but not forgotten!!!

Judith was preceded in death by her parents; Frank & Joan Grimes, her sister; Barbara Brown and a daughter; Terry Lynn Slate.

Judith is survived by her loving children; Tracy Schwenk and husband; Roger, Dawn Paine and husband; John Castillo, Catherine Paine, Debra Paine, Dale Paine and wife; Peggy all of Hanford, Kirk Paine of Santa Cruz and David Ryburn and wife; Karen of Fresno, California. She will always be cherished by her 13 beautiful grandchildren; Matthew Schwenk, Kathleen Garcia, Jeffery Dominguez, Stephanie Dominguez, Mario McCullum, Marina Castillo, Johnny Castillo, Kimberly Slate, Michael Paine, Jason Paine, Joshua Paine, Brian Paine and Stephanie Paine. Her 9 wonderful great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews will also miss her dearly…

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591 with a Burial following at Hanford Cemetery; 10500 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230.
