It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Julita Delos Santos Lababit, who departed this life at the age of 83 on the early morning of Tuesday, the 21st of October 2025 in Hanford California.
A devoted housewife and nurturing soul, she dedicated her whole life to her family with unwavering love, strength, and grace.
Born in Subic Zambales, Philippines, Nanay Lita, as we fondly call her, spent her life creating a warm and welcoming home where laughter, kindness, and the aroma of home-cooked meals were always present. She was happily married to our late awesome Tatay Jose “Peping” for 46 years. They spent wonderful years raising five beautiful children - each successful in their chosen careers. Her days were filled with special care for her children, support for her spouse, and quiet acts of generosity that was felt by everyone around her - siblings, cousins and friends.
She was the heart of our family — a woman of simple joys, profound wisdom, and endless patience. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the traditions she upheld, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
She is survived by her children Joselito Lababit, Marilou Lababit-Garrity, Manuel Lababit, Bernadette Lababit and Monnet Lababit. Grandchildren Maria Giezel, Miko, Marianne, Briini and Karl, and daughters in-law Margaret Magno-Lababit and Karen Belen-Lababit, and sons-in-law Michael Garrity++, Charlie Echon and John Michaels, who will carry her memory forward with pride and affection for life.
She will be greatly missed beyond measure, now and forever.
