

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Karen DeeAnn Marchbanks on July 24, 2026, at the age of 83. Karen was born to Allan and Darlene Cooperider on December 19, 1942 in Indianapolis Indiana.
After her father passed away fighting in WW2, her family moved to California. She attended local elementary schools and Hanford High School. She met Gary Marchbanks her freshman year and they dated throughout High School. They married on March 4, 1961 and had 65 years of marriage.
Mom had three daughters and became a mother and farmer’s wife. While taking care of her family, she attended Fresno State and got her degree.
After her daughters were grown, she went to work at Presents and enjoyed time working with friends. She went to work Griswold, LaSalle, Cobb, Dowd & Gin, LLP, in the personal injury department for 15 years. After Griswold LaSalle, mom went back to school and got her teaching credential. She taught at John Muir in Corcoran until her retirement.
After retirement, she enjoyed shopping in Exeter, playing cards and going to lunch with her friends. Her favorite thing to do was baking and making her cherished quilts.
She was a founding member of the Phi Alpha Sorority which she made lifelong friends that she cherished.
She is survived by her daughters, Kelli (David) Brotherson, Tiffani Benedetti, Holly (Angelo) Macias. Her precious grandchildren, Hannah, Justin, Hunter, Isabella, Jensen, Gabrielle, Gianna and Haley. Five adorable great-grandchildren, Paige, Esme, Sophie, Aubrey, and Magnolia.
She is preceded by her husband, Gary Marchbanks, parents, Allan Cooperider and Darlene Worsley and In-laws, Bonnie and Mildred Marchbanks.
