Kenneth Dale Ogden

Born in Lockwood, MO on January 14, 1933, and passed away in Hanford, CA on August 31, 2024, surrounded by love and adoration.

He started his life on a farm in Southwest Missouri before moving to Orange Cove where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Helen Ogden. While raising a family with Helen, he was able to live out the American dream. Starting life on his family farm, moving to California where he met the love of his life, to serving our country after joining the Air Force. After retiring from service, he was able to start his most exciting work when he joined JPL. Kenneth accomplished some amazing things during this time. He had a passion for Space Exploration and loved to tell his family, friends, and anyone he met about the work and the exciting things going on.

Though his accomplishments in his career were amazing, nothing can compare to the passion, love, and dedication he had for his wife, Helen, and his family. He has now gone to heaven and skies above to be with Helen, where they will continue to watch over their family. He is survived by his three children, Marsha Yarnal (Glenn Yarnal), Kenneth “Mike” Ogden (Shelly Ogden), and Daniel Ogden (Kimberly Ogden). He also left behind 6 grandchildren, Kenneth Yarnal, Meredith Pannett, Kelly Bush, Heather Roeber, Courtney Rios, and Charolette Ogden. Kenneth was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren. His best friends Madalen and Jakob Golden, Carson, Elise, Julianne, Molly Roeber, Elenor and Jack Pannett, and Adelina and Ryder Rios.

Services will be held on September 12, 2024, 10am at Smith Mountain Cemetery in Dinuba, CA where he will be laid to his final rest with his wife.

We would like to thank Valley Christian Home and the employees for being there to provide support and comfort to our family during this time. We also would like to thank everyone who has been there for us. There are too many of you to list, but know, we appreciate all you have done while we continue to remember and mourn the loss of the legend that was Kenneth Dale Ogden.
