Lawrence completed a distinguished 32-year career of service in the U.S. Navy, a testament to a life shaped by duty, perseverance, and honorable resolve.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Acey Garnet Ellis; his mother, Lora Louella Burns Ellis; his son, Lawrence Ellis Jr; his siblings, Dodrall A. Ellis, Jessie S. Ellis, Layton L. Ellis, and Margaret E. Ellis.
Lawrence is survived by his spouse, Carol Puckett Ellis; his daughter, Rebecca Rigsby; his siblings, Leslie A. Ellis, Bonnie Ellis, and Mary C. Ellis.
A Funeral Service will be held at Peoples Funeral Chapel, 501 N Douty St, Hanford, CA 93230, on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
Military Honors and burial to follow at Bakersfield National Cemetery, at 1:15 pm.
