Leonor O. Hernandez

Leonor Hernandez (née Orosco) passed away peacefully in Hanford, California on January 3, 2018 at the age of 86.

Leonor is survived by her siblings: Baldomero Orosco, Josie Chavez, Louis Orosco Jr, René Orosco, Ninfa Coulbourne and Arthur Orosco, her children: Leonor Silva (Ismael), Joe Hinojosa, Ernesto Hinojosa, Jerry Garcia (Sara), and Graciella Clarke (Brent), and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her parents Louis Sr and Claudia Orosco and her siblings Valdo Orosco and Minerva Cavasos precede her in death.

Leonor was born on January 24, 1931 in Clareville, Texas to Louis Sr. and Claudia Orosco. She was a farm laborer for over 60 years. She was a proud and loving matriarch to her large family. Leonor enjoyed cooking for anyone who visited her home and embroidering gifts for her family.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Leonor’s Life with a Visitation on Wednesday, January 10th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 11th at 10:00 a.m. all at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty St., Hanford, CA with Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery; 11680 S. 10th Ave., Hanford, CA with a reception to follow at the Comfort Inn; 10 N. Irwin St., Hanford, CA 93230.
