

Linda Marquetta Williams, 66, of Hanford, California, passed away on June 18, 2023, at home after a brief bout with cancer. Linda was born on December 22, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri to Jimmy Bryan and Reba Mae Cochran.
Affectionately known to all as Quetta, she attended Armona Elementary Schools and was a member of the Hanford High Class of 1975, she worked as a Supply-Transportation Specialist for Department of the Navy at NAS Lemoore for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her husband James Michael Williams, daughter Stacie Holmes (Clayton), Siblings: Deborah Goforth (Kenny) Kathy Fagundes (Donnie), Tammy Davis (Larry), Joel Cochran and Son in Law Jason Prior, with many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her.
Known to all for her love of family, she especially loved being a grandmother to Matthew Holmes (Brianne), Lane Prior, Makynzie Longmire (Thomas) and Coulter Holmes (Haylee) and Great-Grandmother (Gigi) to Adelynn, Brinley and Jaxon Longmire; Brayden, Braxton, Taelynn and Olivia Holmes.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Prior, her parents Jimmy Bryan and Reba Mae Cochran and Mother In Law Margaret Ann Williams.
Quetta retired in December 2016 from the Department of the Navy. During retirement she enjoyed occasional trips to the coast with friends and family, watching westerns, drinking coffee, sharing political memes earning a Facebook jail time out and enjoying watching her beloved great-grandchildren grow.
Quetta will always be remembered as someone who rooted for the underdog and ensured everything was fair to all and put her loved ones first. Her generosity, and warmth touched the lives of all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, may she rest in peace.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 30th at 10:00 with Peoples Funeral Chapel, Hanford, California.
