Lori passed away quietly on February 1, 2024 surrounded by family members. She dedicated her life to being an exceptional aide for special needs children with the Kings County Office of Education. For over 35 years she cherished her relationships with her co-workers and students; they became like a second family. During the summer, she spent her time at the Hanse’s Landing on the Kings River where you were guaranteed to find her ready to float, take a boat ride and tan in the sunshine. However, her favorite pastime of all was spending time with her nieces and nephews and their children just enjoying everyday life. Everyone who had the opportunity to know her, loved her, and could recognize how special and selfless she was.
Lori is survived by parents Pete and Janis Hanse, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She is also survived by her sister Tammy and husband Rick Alves, their three children: Ashtin, Mason, Branson, and their three children: Ethan, Nathan, Nora. Lori is survived by her brother Rodney and wife Lynette Hanse, their three children: Haley, Chad, CJ, and their five children: Kaysi, Gunner, Leonidas, Maximus and Anduin.
Graveside services for family will take place on February 13, 2024 at 11am at Oak Grove Cemetery, Laton California. Later in the Spring a Celebration of Lori’s Life will be held at the Kings River.
