

Lot Mellor Bairstow, 92 of Hanford passed away on December 1, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends.
Lot was born on March 2, 1924 to Lot and Amy Bairstow of Hanford. Lot attended local schools until the age of 17. Lot was a local farmer who grew many crops, walnuts being a favorite. Lot retired at the age of 70. He had many Interests that he enjoyed; traveling, camping, hunting, fishing, wood wedeling and gardening. Lot also learned to fly at the age of 70 and flew a Para Glider, amongst many other interests.
Lot was preceded in death by his parents Lot and Amy Bairstow, his brother Jack Bairstow, his sister Marylou Williams and her husband Jack, Son-in-law Benny Gastelo, Grandson Anthony Gastelo and granddaughter Elena Gastelo.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years and best friend Josephine Bairstow, son Rodney Bairstow and his wife Sue, grandson Aaron and his wife Juanita Bairstow, grandson Scott and his wife Susan Bairstow, daughter Lynne Hiltgen and her husband Doug, granddaughter Thiese and her husband Greg Freitas, grandson Joshua Hiltgen, daughter Teresa Gastelo, granddaughter Lisa and her husband Mike Cisneros, granddaughter Erin and her husband Nick Gonzales, daughter Cindy Garcia and her husband Ralph, granddaughter Serena Garcia and grandson Justin Garcia and his wife Bianca, son Mark Levario & Janea, granddaughter Stephanie and her husband Ritchie Logsdon, grandson Stephen Levario and his wife Kaitlyn, granddaughter Sara Levario, son Jon Levario and his partner Tom Costa, grandson Brad Costa, granddaughter Sarah and her husband Richard smallwood, granddaughter Dariean Costa-Levario, daughter Sharleen Allen and her husband Jack, grandsons Jarrod Allen and Brett Allen 19 great-grandchildren are all left to cherish his memory.
A “Special Thanks” on behalf of all the family to all of Lot’s caregivers; Dylan Wilson, Julie Brackett, Andreas Atillano, Andy Valenzuela and David Chisum, as well as the people in ICU at Hanford Adventist Health.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 with a private inurnment at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
