

Beloved Father and Grandfather, Manuel Barela Turrieta, 90 years old, of Silver City, New Mexico, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. He was born to the late Manuel and Antonia Turrieta on October 11, 1923, in Silver City, New Mexico. He married the late Clara Flores Turrieta on May 14, 1942, and they lived together in Silver City, New Mexico, before relocating to Los Angeles, California in 1953.
Manuel worked as a pipefitter, and truck driver, a hard working husband and father, setting the example of providing a good livelihood for his family. Manuel had four children, Clorinda Turrieta, of Bell, California, Bobby Turrietta, of West Covina, California, married to Juanita Turrietta, Richard Turrietta, of Hanford, California, married to Nadine Turrietta, and Manuel’s late daughter, Delia Turrieta. He also has four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Manuel is also survived by his brothers Raul, Richard, and Ruben Turrieta, and his late brothers Pete, and Ramon Turrieta, and late sisters, Cecila, Veva, and Lupe Turrieta.
He will be laid to rest at a gravesite burial that will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery, Inc., in Bell Garden, California, details to follow.
