

Marilyn married well-known Hanford High School educator and coach Donald J. Davis on February 22, 1957 in Fresno, CA. They met at the local swimming pool where Don was the active, handsome lifeguard on duty. They went on to settle in Hanford in 1961 and had three children.
Marilyn was the principal's secretary at Hanford High School for several years then worked as a bookkeeper for Kings County Air Conditioning for over 30 years. She belonged to Kings Athletic Club and Kings Country Club for more than 30 years, where she served as the captain of the Ladies Club. She spent a great deal of time playing tennis, golf, and bridge while remaining a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was known by her loved ones for her Sunday morning breakfasts and her generous and unending support. She will be remembered by many for her sense of humor, beauty, and poise.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Don Davis of Fresno, CA; daughter Linda Davis, son Randy Davis and son-in-law Mark Smith, son Chris Davis and daughter-in-law Deanna Davis, all of Hanford, CA; sister Janice Dollries of Port Townsend, WA; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces, and one nephew.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 10 am at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty St., Hanford, Ca.
