Mario Arturo Barragan

Mario was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent many years working for Landscaping companies and owning his own Landscaping business and ending his career as a Head Grounds Keeper at Hanford High School for 33 years. He took great pride in his work and truly loved being outdoors. Known for his friendly nature and willingness to help others, Mario left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Above all, Mario was a devoted family man. He cherished time with his loved ones and created many special memories taking his son's fishing camping, and enjoying rounds of golf. His pride in his family was evident in everything he did.

Mario is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Barragan, their children: Chris Escobedo his children Christina, Christopher, Isaac, and Daniel; Mario Barragan wife April and their children Mario, Braedan, and Levi; Arthur Barragan wife Amberly their children Katie, Emily, and Natalie; Manuel (Angel) Barragan wife Christy their children Jewelleah, Amilleah, Alissah, Gabrial, Eathan, Samantha, Ella, and Bryson; Richard Barragan wife Lindsey and their children Taylor, Bret, Richard, Tyler, Carter, and Aubree. Mario's siblings Connie Mendez, Sally Aguilar, Manuel Briano, Daniel Barragan, and Yolanda Maldonado and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Adrynah, Urijah, Josiah, Bentley, Lorraine, and Isla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Barragan and Delphina Briano Barragan, his siblings Thomas Barragan, John Barragan, and Mark Barragan and two grandchildren Audree Barragan and Logan Barragan.

Mario will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at People’s Funeral Chapel (501 N. Douty St, Hanford on May 5, 2026) at 10:00 a.m., with a Graveside Service to follow at Kings River Cemetery 10499 Dover Ave, Hanford. Family and friends are invited to join together for a Celebration of Life at the Fraternal Hall 1015 N 10th Ave, Hanford following the services.
