Mario "Rojas" Talamantes

Mario was born to Pedro Gutierrez Rojas & Francis Lopez on April 9, 1953 in Hanford, California. Mario passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at his home in Manteca, California.

Mario had worked as a Tile Setter for five years before retiring. He had been a resident of Manteca, California for 1 year and prior of Hanford, California.

Mario was preceded in death by his parents; Pedro & Francis and several siblings; Lydia Garcia, Rudy Talamantes, Peter Talamantes and Susan Rojas.

Mario is survived by his beloved wife; Mary Lou Talamantes of Manteca, California and 7 wonderful children; Rudy Talamantes of Fresno, Francis Castaneda of Watsonville, Anthony & wife Ana Centeno of Tracy, Simon & wife Jennifer Centeno of Tracy, Gina & husband Paul Fielding of Sacramento, Erica & husband Anthony Saldivar of Santa Rosa and Marina Pacheco of Livermore, California. Mario will also be dearly missed by his sister; Sylvia & husband Jose Castaneda of Hanford and his brother; Aldofo & wife Maria Roussee of Madera, California. Mario will always be cherished by his 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons; Ernesto & Joey Pacheco.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. all at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; 10355 Hanford-Armona Road, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-8576 with Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery; 11680 S. 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-3937.
