Mary Elinor Sause was 93, was born in Fresno, California on September 28 1924 to Kris and Olive Brandson from Iceland. She passed away on Saturday, March 17th.
As a young woman, Mary worked teaching in a one room schoolhouse in Big Creak, California. She later taught music classes at the school. She is also a retired Social Worker from Kings County. She was an accomplished pianist and taught all of her children the basics of music and the piano. Mary loved to read and she read every day. She read all kinds of books numbering in the hundreds if not the thousands. She loved crossword puzzles and competed in numerous local and nationwide competitions. She was also on the alter gild at Church of the Savior Episcopal Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband John Sause and sister Ada Brandson.
Mary is survived by her sister; Joan Mirabile, her three children; Deborah Massin, James Sause and his wife Wanell and Janet McBee and her husband Bruce. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Nicole Von Berg, Jon Massin, Aaron Sause, Chelsea Massin, Jamie Shepherd and Malori McBee as well as her 12 great-grandchildren.
