

Mary was born in Hanford on July 15, 1954. She was raised in Hanford and graduated from Hanford Union High School in 1972.
Mary Elaine is remembered as a kind person with great love for her children and grandchildren. As a youngster attending Kit Carson Elementary, she was a talented athlete, especially in softball. Later in her life, Mary was known to be a very gifted seamstress. She also loved animals, especially cats. Mary also found great joy in singing and listening to music.
Mary is preceded in death by her father, George Wootten; her grandparents, Wayne and Arcolia Dial; and her grand daughter, Rhianna Rodriguez.
She is survived by her mother Wanda Wootten of Hanford; her brother Geary Wootten and wife Julie of Hanford; her sister Linda Jones and husband Anthony of Hanford; her daughters Cynthia Jones, Sarah Benham and husband Jonathan, of Jacksonville, Florida. Mary is also survived by her grand daughter, Julissa Castaneda and grandsons Darrien Benham, Quinntinn Jones and Alex Rodriguez. She is survived by several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9th at the Hanford Cemetery; Service will be presided over by her uncle Lee Dial. This service is located on the west side of 10th Avenue. Then, on the following day, there will be a Celebration-of-Life service and reception Saturday, March 10th at 2:30 p.m. at St James Lutheran Church -1780 Emma Lee Lane in Hanford.
