Maurice L. Strole

Maurice L. Strole 82, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield. He was born and raised at the family property to Roy and Ida Strole in Laton, CA all of his life. After Laton High School he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a hard working man who farmed all his life along with his sons and up until his health took over, he drove a tractor. Maurice even did Custom Harvesting a few years while he was still caring for his farm. He enjoyed watching sports, NASCAR and taking trips to the coast.

He will be dearly missed by his sons; Randy Strole and Mark Strole and wife Felicia of Laton, CA. His two grandsons; Geoffrey and Garred Strole also will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; Roy & Ida Strole, his siblings; Elaine Cook and Ron Strole and in 2012 he lost the love of his life, his wife; Amy Strole.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 with a Graveside Service to follow on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery; 19811 S. Cedar Avenue, Laton, CA 93242.
