Nelly Lerma

The world lost a beloved mother/nana, Nelly Lerma on December 19, 2020, in Hanford, CA, due to COVID. She was born on August 17, 1946 in Cuidad Obregon Sonora, Mexico.

She worked for 15 yrs for Green Giant Cannery in Watsonville and 29 yrs as a Nutrition Assistant for WIC. She retired in 2012. Spending time with her family and grandchildren was definitely one of her greatest passions. She enjoyed going to yard sales, creating beautiful succulent arrangements, and making the best Spanish rice for her grandchildren.

She was known for having a vary caring and loving soul and always there for the best advice. Nana was always full of faith and welcomed you with open arms.

Nelly is survived by her husband of 56 yrs, Jesus Parra Lerma. Her daughters Sandra Lerma (Peter Martinez), Frances Moreno (Greg Moreno), Mari Vega (Cesar Vega) and her only son Jesse Lerma (Amber Lerma) and 13 grandchildren who she cherished with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Lerma Tinoco and grand daughter Berenice Tinoco and her parents Maria de Jesus Santana and Ramon Arce Beltran.
