Patricia M. O'Brien Vierra

Patricia was born in Hanford, California on April 28, 1930 to Harold A. and Bessie H. O’Brien. She graduated from high school in Oregon in 1948. On January 13, 1951 she married Jack Arnold Vierra and they made their home in Hanford for 59 years. Patricia was the Store Manager of Waggoner Electric for over 20 years. She was a loving wife and special mother who enjoyed raising her sons. She was a member of the PTA and spent many hours with her boys in cub scouts through eagle scouts. Jack and Patricia were followers of the Dixieland Jazz Music and were members of the High Sierra Dixieland Jazz Club and enjoyed traveling to festivals throughout the Western United States. They also enjoyed traveling abroad and visited places such as Holland and Australia as well as others. Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Gary Vierra at the age of 4.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Jack of Hanford, CA; two sons, Mark Vierra of Los Angeles, CA and Kevin A. Vierra and wife, Ellie of El Dorado Hills, CA; one sister, Helen Lowe of Oceano, CA: two granddaughters, Erin Pat Vierra of San Diego, Ca and Dana Clare Vierra of El Dorado Hills, CA.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Hanford Cemetery, 10500 10th Avenue in Hanford, CA.
