It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Bettencourt announces his passing after a three year battle with cancer. On Sunday, September 23, 2018, at the age of 44, Paul passed peacefully into heaven with his loving wife Julie by his side. Paul will be forever missed by Julie and his children, Deegan and Keely. Paul will also be lovingly remembered by his parents Marvin and Virginia Bettencourt, sister Christie Bettencourt (Rob Hartman), parents-in-law Vernon and Kathy Ray, sisters-in-law Tracey (Shannon) Gillum and Kristina (Jeff) Moring, nephew Brenton (Sarah) Gillum and niece Candace Nelson; along with his great-nephews and niece, aunts and uncles, cousins, his Quinones family, his chosen brothers, and many dear friends.
Paul will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his family. He worked for AT&T, where he was considered to be a valued employee and co-worker, for over 20 years. He loved a good prank and always came up with the best one-liners. Most importantly, Paul was a devoted husband and father who worked hard to provide the best life for his family.
Julie would like to thank all who loved Paul for their prayers and support during his illness. She would also like to extend a special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at ALSA Medical, M2 Oncology, Ambulatory Infusion Center, and Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital for their compassionate care.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends.
