

Left to cherish Raymond’s memory is his loving wife of 18 years, Linda Swaffar;
children, Alicia Willenberg and her husband, Jeremy of Las Vegas, Crystal Swaffar and Keith Wolfe of Las Vegas; and step-son Christopher Sager of Hanford; grandchildren, Vanessa Wolfe and Jasper Willenberg both of Las Vegas; mother, Elaine VanOrman of Florida; sisters, Beverly Karschner of Florida, Karen Winters and her husband, Daryl of Florida; brother, Donald Swaffar of Florida; mother-in-law, Jean Purvis of Alameda; sisters-in-law, Kelly Gomez of Concord, Lori Payne of Alameda and Kathy Noddin and her husband, Bob of Manteca; brother-in-law, Wayne Purvis II of Concord; niece, Nichole Lopez of Massachusetts; nephews, David and Matthew Brannon of Manteca; and many other relatives and friends.
Raymond retired with the rank of Master Chief after serving 25 honorable years in the United States Navy. After his retirement from the Navy, Raymond spent 10 years as a Civil Servant with the State of California. He will be remembered as a huge NASCAR fan, his favorite driver being Jeff Gordon and a big supporter of the Miami Dolphins.
Raymond was preceded in death by William Swaffar, David Swaffar, Wayne E. Purvis Sr., Carol Minor and Brian Sager.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at People’s Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Raymond’s name to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 742030, Los Angeles, CA 90074 or to the donor’s favorite charity.
