Renee Ramona Tamayo Alonso

Renee was born to Alfred Castillo Tamayo & Flora Hope Chaparro Tamayo in Corcoran, California on March 30, 1944. Renee went to be with the Lord after a long illness in Torrance, California on Monday, April 2, 2012. Renee was a resident of Carson, California for the last 41 years but formerly of Hanford, California where she grew up and attended local schools. She had worked for Sara Lee Corp. for 20 years. Some of Renee’s passions in life were gardening and doing crafts. She enjoyed playing softball, she was very athletic. Renee’s favorite color was blue. Renee was everyone’s friend. She was always loyal to those close to her. Renee biggest blessing in life was the love she shared with all of her family, who will all miss her dearly!

Renee was preceded in death by her parents; Alfred & Flora Tamayo. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 beautiful years; Andres Alonso of Carson, California. Renee leaves behind her three loving children; Alfred & Diana Madrid of Hanford, California, Renee Madrid of Oceanside, California and Michelle & Dennis Vanderhyde of Oceanside, California. Renee is also survived by her dear siblings; Eva Rodriguez and Darlene Corral both of Hanford, California, Gracie & Fred Garcia of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ronald & Lorna Tamayo and Jay Tamayo both of Hanford, California. Renee was very special to her six grandchildren; Chanel Madrid and Chelsea Madrid of Hanford, California, Daniel Sansonetti of San Jacinto, California, Joey Guillen of San Pedro, California, Vincent Vanderhyde and Andrew Vanderhyde of Oceanside, California. Renee was adored by her three precious great-grandchildren; Christopher Rodriguez, Angelo Sansonetti and Scott Sansonetti all of San Jacinto, California. Her family will hold her in their hearts forever . . .

A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church; 1000 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-582-2533 and Burial following at Calvary Cemetery; 11680 S. 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-3937.
