Robert Armondo Caietti, age 85, was born in Sacramento, California on March 4, 1936, to Peter Caietti Sr. and Jennie Silva Caietti. Bob died August 2, 2021, in Hanford, California after a short illness.
Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Maxine Caietti; his parents Peter and Jennie Caietti, Sr.; brothers and sisters in law; Peter Caietti, Jr, William (Kaye) Caietti, Clyde (Dorothy) Caietti and in-laws: Bill and Amy Allen; brother/sister in law Freddie (Barbara) Allen.
Bob is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Deborah (Justin) Fowler, De Ana (Hap) Sweeney: sister Jeannie (Buck) Buchanan, sister-in-law Jeanette Caietti, numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Bob’s dear friend Norma Hahn and his four-legged companion Mango.
After high school, Bob entered the US Army from 1954 to 1957. After his military service concluded Bob continued in public service as a police officer for the city of Stockton, a California Highway Patrolman and a County Marshall for Sacramento where he attended law school at night. After passing the state bar, Bob entered private practice with his brother Bill. Eventually Bob went to work for the Kings County District Attorney’s office as a Deputy District Attorney.
After retirement Bob and Maxine traveled and spent time with good friends. Bob also enjoyed golfing numerous times a week with his buddies
Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty St., Hanford. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 10th Ave.
The family would like to thank family and friends for many dinners. Thanks also to Bristol Hospice, specifically Maddie and Pastor Thomas Olsen, for the care and compassion they provided.
