

Louise and her family moved to Armona, California, in the late 1930s. She attended Armona Grammar School, Hanford High School during her freshman year, and later Lemoore High School, where she graduated in 1952.
In January 1953, Louise welcomed her first son, David Freitas.
Louise worked as a secretary and retired in 1991 after spending many years with Mental Health Services for Kings County.
Louise married Frank Maples in 1961, and together they welcomed their son, Michael Maples. She later married LeRoy Collins in 1991.
Louise was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Maples and LeRoy Collins; her sons, David Freitas and Michael Maples; her brother, Charles Head; and her parents, Anna Ethel and Lawrence Head.
Louise loved life and was blessed by God with a loving family and many dear friends. She will be remembered for her warm smile and the kindness she shared with those around her.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as the many friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.
A service honoring Louise's life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at People's Funeral Chapel in Hanford, California.
