Sylvia Lorene Dunback

September 14, 1927 – October 2, 2018

Sylvia Lorene Dunback, age 91, left this life and was welcomed into her Heavenly home on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in the presence of her family and Precious Lord.

Born on September 14, 1927 in Miami, Oklahoma to parents Elias and Martha Matney, she was raised in Oklahoma and California. She met the love of her life, Raymond Dunback, in Oklahoma and married October 19, 1942. They had 63 years together; Raymond preceded her in death in February 2006.

Mom recently celebrated her 91st birthday with family at Hacienda where she lived since May 2013. She loved to cook and make her family special pies; she was always a homemaker. She read her bible daily and loved going to church. She was a member of River of Life Church in Laton, worked in Women’s Ministry for years and went to ladies days and retreats.

Sylvia is survived by her 3 daughters; Betty and husband Larrie Lewis of Laton, CA, Janice and husband Bill Crawford of Blythe, CA and Darla and husband Tim Lange of Kingman, AZ and her son-in-law Leon Shelley of Riverdale, CA. Grandchildren Tom (Melanie) Shelley, Kathy (Kevin) King all of Riverdale, Lori (Jeff) Hill, Marty (BreeAnn) Lewis, Cindy (Tim) Blanchard all of Hanford, Raylene (Hement) Chema of Madera, Cody (Tanille) Crawford, Brian (Meghan) Crawford all of Blythe, CA, Shaunna (Craig) Crawford of Pahrump, NV, Logan Lange of Fayetteville, AR, Tim Lange of Wofford Heights, CA and Dustin (Mallory) Lange of Queen Creek, AZ; along with 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Raymond, daughters Shirley Ann, Linda Shelley, her mother and father and 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and a Funeral Service on Friday, October 12th at 10:00 a.m. all at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty St., Hanford with Burial following at Oak Grove Cemetery; 19811 S. Cedar Ave., Laton, CA.
