Terry P. Beavers, 73

Terry, also known as “Mr. B” was born to Wendell & Vera (Lorenz) Beavers on November 4, 1939 in their farm house in Aberdeen, Brown County, South Dakota. When Terry was 3 years old he and his family relocated to California where he was raised with his brother and sister. Terry went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Adventist Medical Center in Hanford, California. Terry really enjoyed racecars, boating, fishing, hunting, gun collecting and he especially loved horses. He truly took pleasure in most outdoor activities. Terry graduated from Watsonville High School in 1957 where he was fond of woodworking class, which made sense since he loved nature and the outdoors. While Terry was growing up and in his early years he was close friends with Mickey Okaumura, Kenney Sears, Tommy Molina and Kenney Blanton.

Terry married the love of his life on October 26, 1977 in Las Vegas, Nevada; Angela Negrete. Terry and Angela had four children; Stephanie, Sam, John and Dina. Together they started their lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a few years then moved to Santa Cruz, California and from their moved back to their hometown, Watsonville, California. In 1998 Terry was forced to retire due to his illness so they decided to spend his retirement days and bought a home to spend his retired years on the “Stairs Ranch”. Terry retired in 1998 after having worked for over 35 years as a Refrigeration Engineer & Welder in the produce industry. During his career he had many different jobs as a mechanic and in farming. He had worked for TVT and Frank Ciapurro & Sons. Later in life, Terry continued his life’s passions; welding, building boats, fishing, hunting, collecting hunting rifles and building them. Terry was a member of the National Rifle Association and a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club. He took pride in helping his daughter, Stephanie while she was younger with her 4-H, F.F.A. and Rodeo Tours for 14 years. Terry was passionate about NASCAR, he watched it every chance he got…

When Terry and Angela were able to travel and plan trips, some of their favorite places to visit were the states and going to see friends. Terry loved spending time with his family and he also had a love for all animals; horses, goats, sheep, chickens, birds and dogs, just to name a few. He loved his dog; Molly who had for 5 years. He took pleasure in working around his ranch daily during his retirement at Stairs Ranch.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell & Vera Beavers and a brother a month ago, Lynn Beavers. Terry is survived by his beloved wife; Angela Beavers of Hanford and his loving children; Stephanie and husband H.P. Evetts of Hanford, Sam Orozco of Hanford, John and wife Billie Orozco of Hollister and Dina and husband Bob Hoskins of Grass Valley, California. Terry will also be cherished by his 5 grandchildren; Gage, Monty, Courtney, Lily and Bailey. Terry loved Lyndee & Lance Stairs, the owners of the ranch as if his very own daughter. Stephanie, his daughter and Lyndee have been close so many years that he just adopted her, they will always remember him. He will also be missed by his sister Tannis Welch of Santa Cruz and his sister-in-law Helen Beavers of Watsonville, California. He leaves behind his brother & sister-in-laws; Gary & Petra Castiglioni, Cynthia Medina, John & Inda Clunie, Grace Title, David Medina and Billy & Lydia Gregg and numerous nieces and nephews.
