Thomas DeWitt Robertson

Visitation will be at People’s Funeral Chapel on Thursday August 3, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday August 4, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) with Bishop Fausett officiating. Burial will follow at Hanford Cemetery District.

Tom was born in Roswell, New Mexico to Marjorie Pearl Robertson and Earl DeWitt Downs on February 3, 1949. He graduated from Roswell High School in 1967. He married Sandra Jo Hammer on January 18, 1974 in Lemoore, CA. He worked as an Electronics Technician and Gin Manager for JG Boswell for over 33 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and sailed 2 tours during the Vietnam War. He served as a Ward Clerk for Hanford 1st ward of the LDS Church and a Boy Scout leader for Troop 496. He was passionate about spending time with family, DIY projects, camping, fishing, reading, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Tom is preceded in death by his wife Sandra Jo Robertson (2005).

Tom is survived by his four children: Deedra Chandler, Jennifer Simas, Miranda Robertson & Brian Noll, and Charles Robertson & Tamara Robertson. He is also survived by his eight Grandchildren: Mason Chandler, Andrew Chandler, Siena Simas, Calysta Simas, Mireya Austin, Zoe Backus, Braylynn Robertson, and Addison Robertson.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Jeremy Fahlsing, Rigo Tafolla, Randy Comfort, Jeffery Hammer, Brian Noll, & Charles Robertson.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Grandma Barbara Hammer for being by Tom’s side in his final days; and to Donna Fahlsing, Jeremy, Tracy & Matthew Fahlsing, and Rigo, Jaime, Drake, & Jax Tafolla whom we’ve always considered family.
