Tracy was born in Lynwood, California on June 12, 1967. Anything life threw her way, she overcame it. As a child, she beat leukemia and spent more than 40 years in remission.
She had a passion for children. So much so, that she dedicated her entire career to working with them. She worked in the nursery at her church and spent more than 15 years as a preschool teacher.
Tracy will be remembered for many things. Her heart for her family, her love for Disney and I love Lucy, and her pride in being a Trucker’s wife will be most fondly thought of.
Tracy is survived by her loving Husband, Charles VanNest; her daughter, Brittany Smith; Step-children, Amber Patison, Angie Goldston, and Jeremy Patison; her father, Fred Smirl; brothers Ronald Gooler and wife Linda; Frank Freeman and wife Debbie; Ron Freeman, Jr.; sisters Karen Rabideau and Connie Freeman; Niece Alisha Andre; mother and father in law Brenda and Charles VanNest; brother in law Robert VanNest, 14 grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mom, Merilyn Freeman; stepfathers Ronald Freeman and Earl Smith; stepmother Dorothy Smirl; sister Linnie Melendrez, brother Ransom Freeman, and granddaughter Kaitlyn Goldston.
