Wanda Lee Miller

Wanda along with her husband came to California in 1947. She was 17 years old. They had one suitcase and one box of keepsakes between them. They first went to Lemoore, California and eventually settling in Armona in 1960 where she raised her family and lived out the rest of her life. She worked in many of the nursing homes in the Hanford area, including Central Valley General Hospital. She loved going to church with her sister as much as she loved going to the casino and playing bingo. She also loved camping with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Mitchell of Hanford, her daughter Debra Marin of Lemoore, her daughter Jackie Combs (Ron) of Hanford, her son, Bobby Miller of Hanford and her daughter Shelly Estrada (Tom) of Armona. Her grandchildren, Kathrine Hull (Bob) of Queen Creek, Arizona, Tim Hernandez (Nina) of Hanford, John Hernandez (Barbara) of Modesto, Stacy Acquistapace (JR) of Riverdale, Justin Miller of Hanford, Crystal Ballard (Melissa) of Colorado, Adam Combs (Kelli) of Monterey, Ronnie Combs of Hanford, Matthew Miller of Lemoore, Steven Miller of Texas, Toni Marin of Hanford, Jeffery Boer Armona and Thomas Estrada Jr of Armona. Numerous great and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Miller, her son David “Dickie” Miller, her grandson Tommie Mitchell her granddaughter Jodi Galloway, her son-in-law, Richard Marin and her son-in-law Russell Mitchell and all 11 of her siblings.

Funeral arrangements will be handled by People‘s Funeral Chapel in Hanford California. Services will be January 28, 2025 visitation at 9:30am to 11:00am funeral at 11:00am graveside services at 12:30pm.

The family would like to thank Tulare Nursing and Rehab and Infinite Heart Hospice for their care, love and compassion in her final days.
