I just found out about Wayne's death while trying to reach out to him.  We talked earlier in 2014-but hadn't connected since then.  I served with Wayne on recruiting duty for the US Navy in 1988-1989 in North Dakota.  Could someone reach out to me so that I may visit his gravesite?

To My Soulmate miss you more than yesterday.love you always

It's still hard to believe that you're gone. You were a good man, with a big heart. I'm going to miss our talks. I don't think that I'll ever be able to watch another Vikings game without thinking of you. The Gophers are going to be playing on New Year's Day (Citrus Bowl) for the first time in 53 years! I know you'd be proud. I love you, cous.  Skol Vikings!

Patty and Becky, as difficult as this time is for you and the kids, I am so happy that we will be able to remain friends and continue sharing the laughter and memories we have of Wayne. He was my "partner" at work,bowling captain, and all around friend.  I will miss him.

Missing a great brother, friend and shipmate. Our hearts are extremely heavy with this loss, but try and comfort ourselves with the great memories we shared. Fair winds and following seas brother.

Where to start. It breaks my heart you are gone.  I was so looking forward coming back to California to see you and Patty Jo.  I don't recall a visit that we didn't laugh out loud.  The stories you would  tell about the two of you.  You and Patty Jo opened your home and your hearts to us and accepted us for as we are.  I remember when you took us to Sequoia N.P. And I hear this voice saying Faith this is the is the only black bear you are going to see.  I turned around and Wayne was standing there with a huge smilie on his face holding a stuffed black bear.  I cracked up.  I remember I was laying on the floor watching TV and I saw a spider crawling towards me.   I said something to Wayne and he got up and squashed it only to have it birth what must have been a thousand baby spiders.  Wayne looked at me and said well there you go.  We laughed and laughed. I  respected him and honor his service to our country.  I loved his love of animals. I loved his sense of humor.  I will sum it up this way...I have very few men that have made a lasting impression or a positive influence on me, but Wayne was one of them.  Rest in peace my friend. Until we meet again

There was no one like him...he was straight forward, loving and caring.  I enjoyed all our time spent with you.  Big hugs to you Patty Jo and Becky.  We will be thinking of you tomorrow and every day after.
