Yolanda attended Watsonville High School and West Hills College, and spent 25 years in the Caruthers and Laton school systems where she worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, guiding and nurturing them with firmness, patience, and kindness. She was a woman who kept her hands, heart, and mind busy, always taking on various fulfilling projects like gardening, working on the ranch, caring for her animals, enjoying puzzles, books, arts and crafts, cooking, and keeping up with her family’s many activities. She will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her for her warm smile and tender heart. Her delicious tamales and tortillas will be among the countless culinary gifts to us that will be greatly missed, but the hundreds of memories we have of her is her lasting legacy.
She leaves behind her daughter Lupe and her son Alfonso, her husband Artemio and step-daughter Maribel, her siblings Martha, Lorenzo, Louie, Leticia, and her grandchildren Adan, Ashley, and Andres, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
