Anna C. Jacbosen Doherty

Mrs. Anna C. Jacobsen Doherty, 86 of Rockland formerly of Hanover died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. The daughter of the late Louis and Hilda Webb Jacobsen, she was born in Boston on March 18, 1924. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, traveling to AZ and spending time with family and friends. Beloved wife of the late John F. Doherty, she is survived by her 5 loving children, Carole Deptula and her husband Don of Plymouth, John F. Doherty Jr and his wife Carolyn of Hanover, Dennis Doherty of Phoenix AZ, Ann Doherty and her partner Sue Rice of Rockland and Patricia Shea and her husband Tom of Hanover, 2 sisters, Hilda "Snookie" O'Donnell of Revere and Margaret Reardon of Falmouth, 10 loving grandchildren, DJ, Chris, Shannon and Shane Deptula, Ryan, Kaitlin, Kerri and Evan Shea and Sean and Kelly Doherty also survived by Sue Rice's children, Beth and Mike Milligan, Kristin and Courtney Davis and their children Kyleigh and Payton and Jonathan and Dee Rice. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in HANOVER on Thursday from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment in Hanover Center Cemetery.
